Alexandra Shipp

Alexandra Shipp has been a well-known actress over the years. Born in Phoenix Arizona in the United States on July 16th 1991. In 2012 she had a small guest role with Victoria Justice on Victorious. Shipp made her debut in 2009 when she was a guest actor in Alvin and the Chipmunks. She went on to star in the third season of Nickelodeon's crime teenage drama House of Anubis playing the role as KT Rush. Shipp gained attention in 2014 for her role as Dani Raymond as the sequel to Drumline: A New Beat in VH1 and Aaliyah, the main role on Lifetime's Aaliyah: A Princess of R&B. Shipp performed the song for her last role. After portraying Ice Cube's Kimberly Woodruff she starred in Straight Outta Compton a biographical-drama film which followed the lives of members of N.W.A. in 2016. She appeared in Bryan Singer's superhero flick X-Men: Apocalypse with Halle Berry in the role of Ororo Storm, a mutant who controls climate change. She co-starred alongside Nick Robinson, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Lucy Hale as Dude in 2018. She also starred alongside Nick Robinson in Love Simon. James is her elder brother. She played Danielle Dani Raymond on the TV series Drumline A New Beat in 2014. Alexandra Ruth Shipp (born July 16th, 1991) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist who came to notoriety for playing the role of a real-life artist Aaliyah in the Lifetime TV film Aaliyah: the Princess of R&B (2014) as well as Kimberly Woodruff in the Oscar-nominated film Straight Outta Compton (2015).
